A walk to the Old River Bed with one the Wildlife Trust’s Land Management & Farm Advisors to hear about the project and see how the urban beavers have settled in during their first 8 months in the county town.
Description
We will take a walk to Shrewsbury Town Council’s SSSI Old River Bed along side the beaver enclosure to see how the Bertie and Beryl, the urban beavers have settled in since their arrival in February 2025. You will be shown footage from the cameras inside the enclosure (weather permitting as it will be on a laptop in the field), We will be able to see the some of the work carried out by nature’s own water engineers. You will be able to see where the beavers have built their lodge and felled several tress in the enclosure.
