The training will provide participants with the language and knowledge to enable them to effectively advise corporates and financial institutions on matters relating to nature strategy, reporting, and disclosure, with are closely associated with climate related considerations.
Delegates will understand how corporate strategies can be developed with nature in mind, through the application of ecological expertise.
Description
This training has been compiled to equip ecologists and environmental managers with the vocabulary and the knowledge to support corporate action on nature. The training will provide participants with a foundational understanding of:
- The Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) landscape (UK/EU);
- The ‘carrots and sticks’ for corporate action on nature, in relation to ESG regulations and reporting requirements and standards;
- The opportunities for ecologists/environmental managers to engage with ESG and support corporate action on nature;
- Nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks, and opportunities within the land management and real estate space, and the links to corporate reporting, disclosures, and strategies.

The course is targeting practicing ecologists/environmental managers with a background in environmental science who wish to understand how their actions can contribute towards nature recovery through ESG and nature finance levers.
