Restoring the River South Esk – Landscape Scale Wetland & River Restoration – lessons learned

The River South Esk Catchment Partnership completed the delivery of the Landscape scale project ‘Restoring the River South Esk’ in March 2026. Join the River South Esk Catchment Partnership, RSPB Scotland and CIEEM at this field event as we explore the remeandered March Burn and largescale new wetland sites. Hear about the projects multiyear delivery, lessons learned and the projects positive impact on the nature and climate crisis.

Kelly Ann Dempsey has been River South Esk Catchment Partnership Project Co-ordinator since 2009 and has worked on projects across the catchment since its restoration projects in Angus and Tayside at a range of scales, having a particular interest in catchment management and estuarine ecology.
