Summary
Join NatureScot for an introduction to the consultation version Scottish Planning Biodiversity Metric (SPBM). This new Scottish metric is based on the English Statutory Biodiversity Metric with adaptations made to ensure it better fits with the Scottish environmental and planning policy context.
This event is organised by the CIEEM Scotland Committee and the CIEEM Scotland Policy Group.
Description
This online webinar marks the first of two events introducing the consultation version Scottish Planning Biodiversity Metric (SPBM). This event will introduce the SPBM and summarise the main adaptations from the English Statutory Biodiversity Metric, including an overview of the SPBM habitats list and habitat condition assessment sheets. A short demonstration will show how to use the metric. Overall, this event provides context for launch of the consultation on the metric, giving a basic introduction prior to a second event which will deliver more detail.
We recommend you email in your questions by 16th September to annierobinson@cieem.net. Of course, new questions will also be fielded at the event and encouraged!
