The Future of Biological Records in Scotland Have Your Say

This is an opportunity for consultants and other commercial sectors to have their say on the future of SBIF, and how biological records are used and stored in Scotland. If you are in regular contact with record centres, or processing data requests - we want to hear from you.

Following a full review of the treatment and useage of biological records in Scotland, the Scottish Biodiversity Information Forum is looking to re-engage with the Scottish environmental consultant community, and seeks to understand what ‘quick wins’ can be progressed to ensure consultants get maximum benefit from transforming the recording infrastructure. This workshop is looking to work with consultants and other commercial users to get an idea what is needed need from biological recording in Scotland, and which of the SBIF actions would be most valuable to the consultant community. We are looking to interact with people who are in regular contact with record centres and who carry out data searches and data requests regularly as part of their job. This is your chance to discuss the future of this system.
