Summary
The Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) Wales invite you to our upcoming conference, ‘Revitalising Derelict Spaces: Sustainable Land Redevelopment and Biodiversity in Wales'.
This event will explore innovative strategies, emerging trends, and sustainable practices for transforming previously developed land sites into vibrant, biodiverse, and resilient spaces that benefit both people and nature.
Description
Previously developed sites are often overlooked, yet they hold immense potential to address pressing environmental, social, and economic challenges. With a focus on sustainable redevelopment, this conference will highlight the importance of balancing the regeneration of derelict spaces with biodiversity conservation, climate adaptation, and community engagement. Through knowledge-sharing and collaboration, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how to integrate ecological principles into the planning and policy for derelict spaces, contributing to Wales’ broader sustainability goals.
