Summary
Ecological restoration is the process of actively or passively assisting the recovery of an ecosystem to a good condition. Join CIEEM as we spend two days exploring this topic and offering a space for the sector to come together with a focus on what is an increasingly important aspect of our work.
Description
On the 10th of April we will have a full day of talks covering many areas of consideration for ecological professionals on Nature Restoration.
We look forward to welcoming you in Cork this April.
On the 9th April, the day before the Conference, we have the following events that you might also be interested in attending:
Field Trip
Join us for a field trip to Beaumont quarry which is an old, abandoned limestone quarry that lies adjacent to Pairc Uí Rinn and Temple Hill, just southeast of Cork city centre. It is very important for local biodiversity and wildlife conservation. Join Gill Weyman and Kerri Sonnenberg as they walk around this unique site in Cork city. Book your ticket here.
Workshop
We will also hold a workshop in parallel, where delegates will get to engage on a topic in more detail. More information on this will be made available in the coming weeks.
Evening Social with Richard Nairn
In the evening of the 9th, CIEEM is excited to run a social event as part of this year’s Ireland Conference. Spend the evening prior to the conference networking with your fellow professionals, where we will be offering attendees a supper bowl, a drinks reception and we will be joined by Richard Nairn, who will be discussing what needs to be done now to comply with the Nature Restoration Law. Book your ticket here.
All of the events on the 9th April have a separate booking pages as indicated and a nominal fee to attend. These events have limited capacity, so be sure to remember to book in good time.
