2025 Irish Conference Call for Abstracts - Nature Restoration: Linking Policy and Practice in Ireland

The final date and venue for this conference are yet to be confirmed.

Summary

In June 2024 the EU’s Nature Restoration Law was approved and the timer started on the production of a National Restoration Plan. In Ireland’s 4th National Biodiversity Action Plan, we see a big emphasis on Restoration with Objective Two being to Meet Urgent Conservation and Restoration Needs. Having both these policies in place is positive, but how do we link policy with practice?

Ecological restoration is the process of actively or passively assisting the recovery of an ecosystem to a good condition. It is the current and future task of our profession. Let’s come together as a sector and set a standard for this work.

Please join us in making this conference a useful support to all by responding to our Call for Abstracts by Friday 24th January.

Presentations will be 20 minutes in duration and will be followed by time for questions from the delegates. Presenters will have a free delegate place at the conference.
