Description

The Annual Members Meeting (AMM) will include a Convenor’s report and committee overview, followed by an update from Drew Lyness (CIEEM Volunteer Engagement Officer) with an opportunity for questions.
Following the AMM, there will be a talk on White-clawed Crayfish in the North East. The talk will be delivered by Scott Mackenzie from the Environment Agency, and will discuss crayfish ecology and key sites for white-clawed crayfish in the North East. It will also cover their threats and the importance of good biosecurity, both for developers and also CIEEM members.
We will also go through some recent incidents here in the north east and how the Environment Agency has responded, as well as outline the key aims of the Northumberland Crayfish Strategy which aims to promote crayfish conservation.
