Summary
Introducing the CIEEM Co-Lab! A question and answer panel event with council ecologists, planning officers and consultant ecologists working in Forest of Dean to promote improved collaboration and deliver good outcomes for biodiversity and development alike.
Description
In the first of what is hoped to be a series of similar events run by the South West CIEEM member network, we are pleased to introduce the CIEEM Co-Lab. This first event will be run alongside the Forest of Dean District Council and we hope to roll this out across other districts in the future to encourage a collaborative approach to addressing the ecological issues most pertinent in our region. This is a question and answer panel event to bring together ecologists working within the council, planning officers and consultant ecologists to help drive more collaboration and quality within our industry. The focus topics of this initial event will be “BNG” and “What is needed for planning?”. Ultimately we hope to drive the facilitation of high quality developments that deliver genuine benefits for biodiversity within the district through improved collaboration and engagement.
This is an in-person event. A virtual/ remote video option will be made available to allow the event to be observed but we will not be able to facilitate questions from virtual attendees.
