Summary
Join freelance practitioners within the ecology and environmental management sector for an informal online discussion focusing on challenges and opportunities being freelance or part of a small business brings. We’ll be networking and discussing the latest CIEEM events and publications and how these apply to the freelancing world.
Description
Grab yourself a cuppa and a tasty snack, then join the CIEEM Freelance Practitioners Special Interest Group (via Zoom) for a relaxed discussion that aims to help you network, share and solve common problems involving freelancing (or working within a small business) in our sector and illustrate opportunities to help you succeed.
At this, the first of a series of brunch events, we will be discussing the latest CIEEM events, conferences and publications. We’ll delve into if / how they can be applied to the freelance world. This will also be a fantastic opportunity to suggest ways in which the Institute and the SIG may be able to further support you. As this session will be an active discussion, it will require involvement from you as a participant to help make the most of the time we have so please come prepared with any items you’d like to talk about with your fellow freelancers in the sector. As the saying goes, a problem shared is a problem halved. This chat is held in confidence with the freelance community to encourage free and frank discussion. The event will not be recorded to further encourage engagement. Please do attend on the day.
While we respect there is competition in the freelancing world, we all share a common goal, to protect the environment for nature and people. We hope you will join us and be a stronger part of the freelance community within our sector. See you there!
